Quebec - Hudson - Auberge Willow Place Inn

A servant girl was murdered here by men planning a military uprising in the 1830's.  They buried her in the basement, but "Maude" still goes around making her presence known.  For some reason mostly in November, Maude stacks rocks up outside of the door to #8, knocks things over, and sings aloud in the hallways.  208 Main Road  tel:1-450-458-7006
Victoria, British Columbia - Andersen House
Obviously British Columbia caught the curse of Maine (or maybe vice versa) and has a lot of haunted homes of ex sea captains and ships' builders...
This particular captain, Captain William Spring, pops in to say, "hi" (decades since his death) to visitors on the second floor, where he used to stay.

Victoria, British Columbia - Bedford Regency Hotel

The ghost of a barfly named Brady who was murdered in the basement still haunts the stairway to the basement, and the smell of his cigars is sometimes smelled. His girlfriend, apparently condemned to eternity with him, hangs outside of room 49, her former residence. Her perfume can sometimes be smelled there.

Victoria, British Columbia - Cherry Bank B &B, Hotel

Built in 1897, it is home to a phantom telephone caller and cutlery re-arranger named Miss Hamber; and a little girl who haunts the hallways. Room 4 has a door that comes off it's hinges.

Victoria, British Columbia - SuperSave Lodge

The kitchen is haunted by an apparition that likes to brush up against staff and give them the chills; Room 115 is haunted by a similar shadowy figure, as is the third floor.

Victoria, British Columbia - James Bay Inn

Haunted by a temperamental artist named Emily Carr who died here during WWII when the building was a hospital, the James Bay's bar suffers from an Emily haunting if anyone dares criticize her artwork.

Winnipeg, MB - Fort Garry Hotel

Room 202 is said to be haunted by a cloaked figure who stands at the foot of the bed. Others have said it wears a ball gown. Workers have reported strange lights and noises on the second floor as well.

Alberta - Banff - Banff Springs Hotel -

A bride who was descending the staircase caught her dress aflame on a candle then fell to a horrible death here. She is seen wandering the hotel.  Where room 873 was, a family was allegedly murdered and their spirits tormented guests to the point that the hotel bricked over the door.  A little girl's fingerprints couldn't be washed from the mirrors in the room.

Alberta - Edmonton - La'Boheme Restaurant, Bed and Breakfast -
A woman was killed, drug down three flights of stairs, dismembered, and thrown in the furnace. Today you can hear her head popping off each step late at night. By the way, they still haven't replaced the furnace.

Yukon Territory,  Carcross - Caribou Hotel

I couldn't find a website, address, or even a street but I get the feeling it's not a very big town...

There are stories of a womanly figure staring from the windows and of banging on the 3rd floor's floorboards. This old hotel has a vivid history, including that of a resident cursing parrot who lived to be 60.

Saskatchewan, Saskatoon - Delta Bessborough Hotel -
An old man in gray wearing a fedora hat fades in and walks about the banquet room late at night, staff says. He'll smile at you then fade out again.
601 Spadina Crescent East

Saskatchewan, Regina - Saskatchewan Radisson Plaza -
Floors 5 and 8 are home to many apparitions, as this hotel is apparently a popular place to kill yourself... In the "Royal Suite" a cabinet opened and a vase flew across the room at an unwitting chambermaid. Various apparitions have been spotted by both guests and staff

Newfoundland - Placentia Bay

A Greek ship, which is on fire, has been spotted in the bay, and people claim to have felt the heat from it and heard screaming voices of doomed sailors.

Ontario - Niagara Falls - Houdini Magical Hall of Fame ?

It is unclear if this attraction is still open, as it was gutted by fire in 1996 ( Houdini had wanted all of his artifacts burned at the time of his death, but his greedy brother sold them, and years later a fan obliged the dead magician...Hmmm - Penn and Teller, perhaps?).  However, several séances that were held here claimed to have contacted the legend, who swore he would communicate from the afterlife.

Nova Scotia - Windsor - Haliburton House Museum

Oddly enough, not associated with the American Bush/Cheney administration, the Haliburton House is haunted by a Scottish soldier, wearing a kilt, who drowned on the estate, and also by the rich judge who built the mansion.  He had a secret passage built in the home, and is seen emerging from it (in the reception hall) and walking about.

Ontario - Scugog Island

( I've never been to Scugog Island, but for some reason an "island" just makes me think of 'tourist')

take Ontario Highway #7 east out of North Toronto, Ontario, Canada about 60 km's to the town of Port Perry, Durham Region. Pass through town on #7, across the Lake Scugog Causeway out to the island.  In a farmer's field at the bottom of a dirt road, which ends at a t-intersection, go north on the dirt road about 1000 yards from the t-intersection, turn the car around so that you face south. Then turn off your car and lights. (Apparently everybody around there has heard about this if you need help finding it...)
In 1963, a teenage boy was riding through the field when a barbed wire fence decapitated him. Locals say that you can see his headlight bouncing around the field, then it fades - then you see a red "tail light". Local authorities can't figure out a logical reason why these "spook lights" occur.

Alberta - Canmore - Canmore ice arena

A phantom watches skaters late at night from a room adjacent to the rink - when anyone investigates, he vanishes.

Saskatchewan ,  Prince Albert - Prince Albert Arts Museum
Phantoms open and close blinds, and flip the lights on and off at night while it is empty.

Ontario - London - The Grand Theatre

Haunted by it's builder - one of the most popular of theater ghost stories - the Grand's builder had built numerous theaters and died mysteriously.  Stagehands claim to have seen him, and he likes to play tricks on actors.

Nova Scotia - Halifax - The Five Fishermen

The second floor, especially, is haunted by a malevolent spirit that has thrown things at and trapped employees.

Ontario - Mississauga - Cherry Hill House Restaurant outside Toronto

After the old building was picked up off it's foundations and moved across town in 1973, the ghosts started visiting.  Locals worried that it had been sat upon an Indian graveyard, because, besides a lot of strange "poltergeist -like" activity, Native American like apparitions began sprouting from the fireplace.  A little girl in white has also been seen running through the building.  A security guard claims to have confronted a spirit armed with a sword. 680 Silver Creek Blvd tel:(905) 275-9300

Alberta - Edmonton - La'Boheme Restaurant

Saskatchewan ,  Regina - Magellan’s Coffee House -
A woman who used to live in the house named "Rose" makes visits from the other side to peer out of an upstairs window. She is heard singing late at night and likes to flip the lights off and on. There is a tour available.
1800 College Avenue (306) 584-3888

Alberta , Edmonton - Guilty Martini
Customers say you can feel an icy hand touch you or flick your hair, and that the bottles clank together for no good reason.
A man in black has appeared around 10 pm several times. Cold spots are felt. 12536-137 Avenue & 10338-81 Avenue

Saskatchewan,  Kenosee Lake - a very angry group of drunk ghosts, indeed

The Bar Bar - Things have been tossed around the bar, and unexplained banging has been heard

Kenosee Inn - Late at night, a phantom knocks over stools in the Inn's bar while workers try to clean up.

Moose Head Inn   The upstairs bar has phantom footsteps when it is empty that can be heard in the restaurant below.  After renovating, things began disappearing and a number of unexplained noises and occurrences took place, including self - propelled mop buckets flying across the room and women's bathroom stall doors that banged open and shut by themselves. 306 577-2226

Ontario - Spook Lights

one gentleman wrote to Obiwan's Paranormal Page:

"I live in Ontario Canada and they say that even in the spring they are seen on warmer nights. When there is a hot day and the evening seems to cool down quickly, you can be sure they will be there. Sometimes there two or three of them. I estimate that they are about 2'-3' in diameter They will rise above the trees about 30' . The colour is orange , amber or yellow . They have been seen about one hour before sunset and I have watched them till about 2:am There are two places that I have personally seen them but I guess there are more. I find it fascinating but I never had any luck in photographing them."

Ontario - Hawksville - Side road 17

A farmhouse along this road burned down, killing the whole family except a six year old boy.  He was taken in by the neighbors across the road, and later died in his late 40's.  He had wanted to be buried with his biological family, and wasn't - he was buried with his adoptive family.  He can be seen, a misty figure, crossing the road toward his family's plot.

Saskatchewan - St. Louis
30km out of Prince Albert
Yet another small town where all the locals can tell you where to go - "down a very narrow gravel road" is the recurring phantom light of the lamp of a railroad employee who was struck by a train here when the road was a railroad track.

Alberta - Calgary - 22X highway

- Phantoms pop up in the road and cause car accidents, it is said
