
Mrs. Mont Harris's Cantaloupe (Musk Melon) Pie
6 cantaloupes
1/2 c flour or corn starch
1 c sugar
3 c milk
5 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 c butter
Seed and rind cantaloupe, cube. Cook over very low heat in saucepan until mushy.
Combine butter, flour and sugar and add gradually to cantaloupe. Let cool and
add eggs and vanilla. Pour into 2 uncooked pie shells and bake at 350 F until
shells are browned and filling is set. Makes 2 pies.
