
BEER CHEESE SOUP
1/2 c. butter
1 c. flour
4 c. chicken broth (I use water & soup base)
2 c. milk
1 (16 oz.) jar Cheez Whiz or Easy & Cheesy
1 can beer (I like Pabst Blue Ribbon)
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. yellow food coloring
1/4 c. chives
cheese popcorn
Melt butter over medium heat. Mix in flour until completely blended. Stir
constantly for 3 minutes. Slowly add broth a little at a time mixing well after
each addition. Slowly add milk the same way. Let heat for 5 minutes, stirring
constantly. Add Cheez Whiz, heat and stir until smooth. Add beer, Worcestershire
sauce, food coloring, and chives (stirring constantly). Cook for 5 minutes. Turn
down to low heat. Let cook for 15 to 20 minutes, stir occasionally. Serve with
popcorn.
