No Bake Twinkie Cake

10 twinkies
1/2 c jam or jelly of your choice
2 (3.4 oz) boxes of instant vanilla pudding mix
3 c milk
1/2 c peanut butter
2-3 c cool whip, dream whip or whipped cream
Cut five of the Twinkies in half lengthwise and arrange them cut side up in the bottom of a square (9" by 9") baking dish.
In a small sauce pan or in the microwave melt the jelly until very easy to spread but not liquid. Spread over sliced twinkies.
Whisk together the milk, pudding mix, and peanut butter until well combined but still pourable. Pour over twinkies.
Cut remaining twinkies as before and layer, cut side down, over the pudding.
Refrigerate for an hour. Spread with whipped cream. Cut in squares and serve.
